Thanks, Dad.
Yesterday I went over to my parents house for dinner. I was helping Dad with the dishes when asked me what I was doing on Australia Day. I told him that I was going for a Doom Valley picnic/bbq with the usual group of friends. He said, “No other guys going?” When I responded with “What other guys?” he said “I’d have thought you would have met some other guys by...

The Newest of Zealands
I’m going on an adventure to New Zealand for a wedding in April… It will be grand indeed, though because the only person I know there is the bride I will be on my own for most of the time. This is both good and bad. Good because aside from the wedding I will be completely in charge of what I do every day, bad because I wont get to share awesome adventures and Lord of the Rings...

In reference to my last post
I wish $100 seemed a bit pricey for chucks, but sadly here in Australia we pay almost that much for the plain ones all the time. I’d expect to pay $200 for chucks this cool. We pay such obscenely inflated prices here. A pair of Chuck Taylor Hi Tops that costs $45 in the US is $90 here. The Sony headphones I bought a couple of weeks ago cost me $65, as apposed to $25. Everything is close to...

Tea
God how I love tea. Woke up feeling a bit blerghy this morning, but one sip of sweet delicious tea and I’m feeling instantly better. It is warming my brain in that nice way that tea always does. This has been another pointless post, proudly brought to you by Casstastic Toaster Soup: the breakfast of champions.

It lives!
Finally got the PS3 working. A good old fashioned IT Crowd repair job did the trick, though I switched off the wifi connection just in case. Assassins Creed: Brotherhood is particularly good so far… mucho recommendo. The prologue/control training for Uncharted 2 is really freaking intense, though I haven’t gone much further into the game yet (work is taking away from valuable...

sony tech support = emailed
ps3 update is supposedly still downloading. this can’t possibly be normal. over four hours for a software update on a brand new console, suspiciously blank screen that shows no status bar, a non-functioning reset button and a green wlan light that is flickering as if it’s still doing something. i finally get a ps3 and this is what happens! frrghhugghhhhh >:( i just wanna play a...

LA
Spent tonight looking at apartments in LA and getting a head start on planning my future. It might still be two years until I’m intending to make the big international move, but it’s never too early to dream. A good friend of mine will be moving over there at the same time. Methinks that will make it easier to adjust…  Plus, as an added bonus, I’ll be far enough away to...

tonight
steph and i went to phil’s gig in st kilda. a man shaved his beard off in the audience during the second half of their set. a drunk man on crutches with a stethoscope listened to his heartbeat while he sprayed shaving cream all over his face. a guy in a fedora with a rubber chicken danced like he was on fire. an irish tourist stole a guitar from the stage and sang to steph and i about...

baseball
So, I’ve been checking out the ABL website and it appears that the Aces are playing Perth on Thursday, Friday and Saturday next week… I want to go. They don’t televise much baseball here, so I doubt that many of you even care that there is a new-ish league, but it is the only sport I have ever liked watching. I’m kind of psyched to know theres finally a chance of it taking...

Online dating is a black pit of lameness
After perusing the profiles of countless men on a number of different online dating websites, I have decided that it is not for me. This is a disheartening discovery, seeing as I had hoped that the whole getting to know someone before meeting them thing would help with my stupid levels of shyness. Unfortunately though, it seems that the kind of men that I am interested in do not use online dating...

something suss is going on...
How is it that every time a friend of mine or a family member or customer or random stranger mentions some obscure song or movie or type of duck, I log on to tumblr and find that someone I follow has just posted something about it? HOW? Is it just a weird ongoing coincidence? Perhaps some kind of elaborate hidden camera show? Because if it is, that thing before when it looked like I was talking to...
